Cream of Mushroom Soup
There’s nothing higher than a creamy mushroom soup as soon as the climate begins getting cooler. If mushroom isn’t your factor, I even have a beautiful Cream of Asparagus Soup, my Dad’s Well-known Cauliflower Soup and a creamy Carrot Ginger Soup.
I first posted this recipe December 2010, again after I was nonetheless working a full time job and operating dwelling to prepare dinner and take pictures. Most of these pictures are fairly dangerous, so I’m slowly re-shooting them. The photograph simply didn’t do that soup justice – it’s so flavorful and lightweight on the similar time, even my teen who might care much less about consuming “mild” usually requests this.
And, it’s so easy to make, the shitake mushrooms give this soup unimaginable taste, I wouldn’t substitute them. In case you are watching your sodium, you may definitely use much less bouillon or exchange it with rooster broth.

Substances
- ▢ 3 tbsp flour
- ▢ 4 cups water
- ▢ 4 tsp Higher than Bouillon Rooster, or 2 rooster bouillon cubes
- ▢ 5 oz shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- ▢ 8 oz child bella, sliced
- ▢ 1 celery stalk
- ▢ 1 tbsp mild butter, optionally available
Directions
- Place chilly water and flour in a blender and mix till easy; pour right into a medium pot and set warmth to medium.
- Add celery, mushrooms, rooster bullion and butter and produce to a boil.
- Cowl and simmer till greens are mushy, about 20 minutes.
- Take away celery and a cup of soup and place in a blender, mix till easy, then return it to the pot and simmer a couple of minutes.
